What is secure and sustainable mobility?

The efficient use of transport must allow the movement of citizens with a reasonable cost and time, generating the least possible impact on the environment and quality of life of citizens.
What we need to achieve sustainable mobility:

• Strengthen the rational use of private transport to reduce levels of air and noise pollution, road accidents,
• but above all to encourage and give preference to the carriage on foot, by bicycle and public transport quality. At the same time, it is necessary that our city is accessible to everyone, ensuring the Disabled.

Santa Coloma has a different peculiarities, that affect their mobility:

• The terrain of the municipality: the relief of Santa Coloma is very rugged.
• The urban structure of the city: the differences between both districts for which refers to its urban fabric as the type of buildings.
• Connectivitat road: Santa Coloma de Gramenet is in a privileged position to respect their access roads of the metropolitan area of Barcelona but the proximity of both major infrastructures such as the Nudo de la Trinidad, the rounds of Barcelona and North area (B20 ), entails a greater volume of traffic near the city with the problems that this gate (greater volume of traffic, more noise and air pollution).
• A prominent opening verse of the city outside: The fact that much of the citizens of Santa Coloma have their job outside the city, generates a significant number of commuting.
