What are we doing in Santa Coloma?

In total in the municipality, there are 1,300 m2 of surface solar installed. With these installations of renewable energy that are already operational in the city, has achieved annual savings of 800,000 kWh or equivalent to a saving of 185 Toneledas of CO2 annually, equivalent to the energy consumed by 320 homes.

The order requires installing capture solar thermal energy to all new buildings or renovation in Santa Coloma. The new housing should bring embedded systems, solar thermal energy production.  The municipality of Santa Coloma de Gramenet has developed over the years from 2003 to 2007 of a plan adequate for Stages of Public Lighting facilities with the aim of allowing matching regulation of these facilities especially for security and improve efficiency energy. These actions have focused on improving the infrastructure of the city, the incorporation of new security systems, replacement of lamps and lanterns, improved maintenance system and resolving breakdowns and the introduction of new technologies.
