What is the environmental awareness plan?
The Plan Environmental Awareness of Santa Coloma de Gramenet town hall, is a pilot initiative for public co-financed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs aims to increase levels of awareness among citizens on issues of sustainability and protection of the environment among the population of the neighborhoods from Santa Rosa, Raval and Fondo.
The plan is aimed specifically at incorporating environmental values in the people from the paradigms of peaceful coexistence, respect for multiculturalism and community integration. This is a test of experience and this is limited to neighborhoods referenced.
The objectives of the Plan are essentially the following:
Increasing the level of awareness among the people in the neighborhood of Raval, Santa Rosa and Fondo, especially in its fraction of immigrants.
Improving patterns and habits of environmental coexistence between the peoples of these two neighborhoods of the city, with emphasis on recycling, saving water, energy, responsible consumption and sustainable mobility.

Amendments to the habits and behaviour patterns of people demanding action in different areas of everyday life of citizens. That's why it's so in the same design of the plan envisaged the need to work simultaneously with different segments of society from Santa Coloma.
Given the multicultural richness of Santa Coloma de Gramenet, it is essential to access the different communities through various channels: the educational sector, associations, trade and in the same public space.
